Unicorn Media's Management Team
Bill Rinehart     Founder, Chairman & CEO
Over the last 20 years, Unicorn Media founder Bill Rinehart has been instrumental in the development of key elements of the commercial Internet: inter-connectivity, high-speed networks, seamless Web hosting and content delivery services.

Previously, Bill was the founding CEO at Limelight Networks, the largest media streaming company in the world. While there, Bill led a $130 million private investment from Goldman Sachs, which was followed by a successful IPO. At the time of Bill's departure to create Unicorn Media, Limelight Networks counted Microsoft, Facebook, YouTube and many other name brands among its customers for mission-critical video content streaming.

Bill also made significant contributions to key facets of the Internet at a number of other companies, including Infonet, a pioneer in global public networks; ARDIS, an innovator in wireless data networks; MFS, developer of the MAE exchange point infrastructure; Genuity, a trailblazer in building large outsourced data centers; GlobalCenter, the early leader in complex, large-scale Web hosting; and Critical Path, an e-mail infrastructure market leader.
Mike Flatin     President
Mike Flatin’s extensive experience helping customers deliver their digital media to IP-enabled devices makes him a valuable asset to Unicorn Media and its customers. Prior to joining Unicorn, Mike was the co-founder and COO of Internet infrastructure provider, BandCon, named as one of Inc 500 Magazine’s Fast Growing Companies in 2008 and 2009. Mike pioneered the idea of “content networking/content peering” while at BandCon, where he was intimately involved with the challenges and economics of large media companies. Mike’s hands-on experience in solving Internet infrastructure problems for content providers lends itself well to understanding the challenges faced by large media companies delivering their content to every Internet-connected device in the world.

Mike was a finalist for the Orange County Chapter Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2009. In addition to holding key sales positions at Axient Communications, Global Crossing and Limelight Networks, Inc. (LLNW), Mike has been involved in numerous successful entrepreneurial ventures across a variety of markets.

With a remarkable combination of intelligence and drive, AJ started his first company building high-end custom computers while still in the 8th grade. By age 14, he was an IT manager, and in between high school classes completed a highly technical token ring/mainframe to Ethernet/NT-Unix network upgrade and answered pages from distressed employees.
